If you’re stuck inside on a rainy day, this activity is perfect to keep your toddler entertained. **This post may contain affiliate links. A small commission may be earned.**
The set up on this takes a little bit of time, but nothing crazy and your toddler can definitely help!
What you need:
– Tissue Paper
– Construction Paper
– Glue
- Cut your tissue paper into small squares (approx 1in but no need to be exact)
- Crumple the tissue papers into little balls
- Draw your picture on your construction paper
- Depending on your toddler’s experience with glue either place several small dots of glue, have a glue pile for them to dip their tissue paper, or give them the glue bottle to pour themselves.
- Let your toddler decorate their picture with the tissue paper crumples
Check out how we did this one for Halloween with bats and ghosts!
If you have an older toddler or little kid, you can leave the tissue paper uncrumpled and have your toddler place them on the glue using the bottle of a marker instead. This will look more like a pinata with the tissue paper sticking off.
I hope this keeps your little one entertained like it did mine. Check out more toddler activities here. xx Ciara
