I love activities that you can do inside or outside and for very little cost. This one is a perfect activity to do in the summer outside or when you’re stuck inside on a rainy day. **This post may contain affiliate links. A small commission may be earned.**
An easy to set up activity that my toddler loves. You can add a color recognition element to this by having various colored cups or bowls to match the fish to.
What you need:
– Large bowl (we used a small storage tote)
– Pipe Cleaners
– Tongs
- Create little fish with your pipe cleaners.
- Fill your bowl with water and place your fish inside.
- Let your toddler “go fishing.” If you want to make this part more challenging you can make a fishing rod with your pipe cleaners. For younger toddlers, the tongs are perfect.
*I usually challenge my toddler to only grab one fish at a time.
Creating toddler activities doesn’t have to be a whole long process that leaves you more exhausted than before the activity. Keep it simple, mama! Check out more easy activities all on the blog. xx Ciara
