If this is your first time here, I love to find easy to set up toddler activities that keep my toddler occupied and give me a little break. This one in particular is VERY easy and perfect for a day you want to get outside. **This post may contain affiliate links. A small commission may be earned.**
The goal of my activities is to keep my toddler entertained without needing much from me. She loves the independence and I love the breather while I drink my coffee or eat my lunch in peace. This one can be done inside, but I find it can end up messy so taking it outside might be best!
What you need:
– A cake tin
– Ice cubes (you can also freeze blocks of ice in cupcake tins)
– Paint
– Paintbrushes
– Paint Palettes
- Fill your cake tin with ice.
- Fill your palettes with a variety of paints.
- Let your toddler paint the ice!
It’s really that simple. The fun thing about this one is as the ice melts, it tends to melt the paint off with it. This leaves your little artist with a new canvas of ice to continue to paint. I think the first time we did this, a full tin of ice kept my toddler occupied for over an hour! She really loved painting it.
I hope your toddler enjoys this one as much as mine! Check out more toddler activities here. xx Ciara
