Mess Free Painting

If you are apprehensive to paint with your toddler, I completely get it. This mess free painting activity is the best for both of you as your little one explores the world of paints! **This post may contain affiliate links. A small commission could be earned.**

What you need:
– Cardboard or Canvas
– Gallon Baggies
– Paints (here are our favorites for this activity)
That’s it!

Have your toddler pick the colors they want for their painting. Put generous plops of paint all around the canvas – you’ll want enough paint that your toddler can spread it around easily. Place the canvas into the gallon baggie, zip it up, and let toddler spread it around. You can give them a brush or a qtip if it will help them to spread it around more.

When they are done, and the paint is still wet, take their canvas out of the bag and place it somewhere to dry. If you want to add a little more to it after, the Cricut would be the perfect way to personalize it even more!

At the end of the day, it doesn’t have to be perfect. My goal for these activities is for my toddler to do something somewhat independently that doesn’t involve a screen. It gives her a chance to use her imagination and creativity and it gives me space to breathe.

Be sure to check out more toddler activities on the blog or grab the ebook where you can have easy access to 52 easy activities.

And always remember, you’re doing a great job. xx Ciara
