No Candy Valentine’s Day Cards

Every holiday I feel like I am dodging candy and sweets for my little ones. I’m not totally against candies and sweets, but personally I try to avoid adding more into the mix when I can. Grab the full list of easy non-candy Valentine’s at the bottom of the page. Perfect for classroom Valentine’s! **This post may contain affiliate links. A small commission may be earned.**

After having kids I feel like my love language switched to gift gifting or some form of it. I don’t mean that I’m constantly giving my kids presents, but at the same time I absolutely love making all the holiday’s magical and special when I can. So even though I have a 3 year old, 1 year old, and newborn – I will 100% be giving them “Valentine’s Baskets” and Valentine’s cards of some sort!

I did the same for Christmas with “Brr Baskets” I gave to my children on the 1st of the month! BUT by no means am I just filling these baskets with non-sense that my kids don’t need or won’t use. Typically these baskets are filled with pajamas, a book, a craft, and at Christmas I also gave them a beanie/slippers. These are all items I would be getting for them anyway, but I just make it magical and cutesy by putting it in a basket for them.

It may be an unpopular opinion or I may get some haters from it, but I’ll add a little magic anywhere I can – especially when they are young. I am a firm believer that we can do this easily and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to do it! If you’ve followed my page or ready through my activities at all, you know I am constantly using cardboard and creating my own activities vs buying new stuff all the time.

Now to the Valentine’s, I will 100% be making a Valentine’s Basket for my kiddos. Just like for my “Brr Basket” this has a pair of pajamas, a Valentine’s book, and a craft! Easy as that. Check out everything I grabbed for my kiddos here.

As far as classroom Valentine’s go, I found 8 super cute options that don’t have any candy involved. These can be great for Preschool up to 3rd or 4th grade, in my opinion. There are play-doh, bracelets, rhinestone art, STEM Volcanoes, and more. I would say they are reasonably priced $0.50-$1 per Valentine and would make such cute options for no candy!

It would be so fun for your little one to share their own personality or favorite play items with the class through these no-candy options!
