The Most Versatile Indoor Toddler Activity

If you are a mom who is looking to do less screen time with their toddler, you’ve come to the right place. We are all about simple, easy to set up activities that will keep your toddler entertained. This activity is my go to activity no matter what the day is – and it is so easy to change up for different ages or different times of the year.

Hide and Seek Shapes
What You’ll Need:
– Construction Paper (cut into 6-8 rectangles) and Tape (or sticky notes)
– Butcher Paper (we use our easel for this and it’s perfect)
– Marker

On the butcher paper draw 6-8 shapes and then draw the same 6-8 shapes on your construction paper (or sticky notes). Have your toddler close their eyes and tape your construction paper shapes all around room. Let your toddler find the shapes and match them to the ones on the butcher paper. Simple as that!

What makes this activity so great is your toddler can see the shapes they are looking for. For us, this is an activity that my daughter will do completely by herself and I can enjoy a hot cup of coffee (I know that sounds crazy). You can also switch this up so easily to adapt to different seasons/holidays or for more challenging options – matching upper case and lower case letters, matching pictures to words, etc.

Be sure to check out more toddler activities on the blog or grab the ebook where you can have easy access to 52 easy activities.

In case you haven’t heard it today, you are a great mom! xx Ciara
