When my oldest was 2 (and I had a newborn baby), I found myself leaning into screen time to help get all the things done. There’s nothing wrong with this, but at some point – I was turning the television on when I didn’t really need to. I was still using the crutch even though I was more than capable of setting up an activity or taking everyone outside for some play time.
I wanted to find simple activities that required very little set up and simple supplies, but that my toddler would love!
