If you are wanting to give a really special gift for a new mom or mom who already has everything, I have some great ideas for you! If you are looking for gifts more specific to the baby and newborn essentials – check out this post of newborn favorites. **This post may contain affiliate links. A small commission may be earned.**
These gift ideas are perfect for any mom to be. They are especially perfect and useful for once baby is here because they truly make mom’s postpartum days so much easier! I feel like the baby showers are so focused on the excitement for baby to come and all the teeny tiny clothes, rightfully. But, it can also mean so much to gift a more unique service or item that maybe wasn’t thought of right away.
- Meal Service: There are different kinds of services you could gift. One of our favorites is HelloFresh (code CIARAFM will save you $$) because you get all the ingredients for homemade, fresh meals. A lot of people sent us gift cards for DoorDash and such (and while I was so grateful), I really just wanted some homemade food! This could also be a great present mom to be can use those last few weeks of pregnancy because it is tiring!
- Prepared Meals: If you want to send them great options for more “prepared meals” – I think Thrive Market is a great option for that! You can gift just a gift card or a gift card and a membership. Thrive has great options for prepared meals (I love the Kevin’s Natural Items) or snacks to have. Best part? All of this gets delivered to their door! This is a great idea too because if mom’s experience is anything like mine – she will be starving postpartum but won’t necessarily have the bandwidth for grocery shopping and grabbing snacks.
- Diaper Service: The gift of diapers is so appreciated during pregnancy and postpartum, but a diaper service is the gift that keeps giving! Hello Bello has the option to gift diapers of 1 month supply, 3 months, 6 months, or a year. These diapers were great for my babies’ sensitive skin and came in adorable prints!
They also make this super cute Diaper Cake Kit you can bring to the baby shower if that’s your style! - Gift card for a facial or a skin care regime set. You probably need to know a little bit about mom for this one, or ask her, but one of the best things I did for myself during postpartum was give myself a little “me time” everyday. This is something that really helped me in postpartum after baby 2 and baby 3. My “me time” is the full Fount Society Skin Care Regime (20% off link) every morning and night and the Divi scalp serum (15% off with link – this really helps with postpartum hair loss).
Postpartum can be so hard and these unique gifts will really make a big difference for a mom – no matter what number kid they are on. They will appreciate and remember this for the rest of their life, seriously. xx Ciara
